I would recommend using a s.o.s pad or sponge. You can use an old towel if you have nothing else. Gingerly apply the solution to the parts needing to be cleaned. Briskly rub down your furniture with your rag. Remember to soak your rag in a bucket to release all dirt particles in your rag. This will ensure that you do not end up spreading dirt around, and allows you to clean as well as possible.

A little bit of dish soap in a water bottle should go a very long way. After everything has been thoroughly scrubbed down, go ahead and hose it all off. Remember, this is outdoor furniture, and the sun will dry it nicely.

Another thing you can do is pick up covers for your patio furniture. This keeps most of the dirt off of your furniture. This also ensures that the fabric on your patio chairs does not become bleached in the sun when they are covered. There is no way to re-establish the color on your fabric when the sun bleaches it, so if you are worried about it, covers are the way to go.

Just by keeping your furniture clean and covered, you can maintain this great addition to any home. Simple things like dish soap can make a world of difference in the way others view you and your style.
